John F. W. Rogers serves as Executive Vice President, Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Board of Directors of the Company. Mr. Rogers has been an Executive Vice President of Goldman Sachs since April 2011 and Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Board of Directors of Goldman Sachs since November 2001. Mr. Rogers joined the firm in 1994 in the Fixed Income division and served in various positions from 1994 to 2001. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, he was a senior fellow at the Baker Institute at Rice University, having served as Under Secretary of State for Management at the U.S. Department of State from 1991 to 1993. From 1988 to 1991, he was Executive Vice President of the Oliver Carr Company and, prior to that, Assistant Secretary of the Treasury from 1985 to 1987 and Assistant to the President for Management and Administration from 1981 to 1985. Mr. Rogers is chairman of the boards of the Goldman Sachs Foundation and Goldman Sachs Gives.
