Prior to the spin-off of Albemarle Corporation from Ethyl Corporation, which traded on the NYSE under the ticker symbol EY prior to its conversion to a subsidiary of NewMarket Corporation (NYSE: NEU) in 2004, he served as President of the Chemicals Group, Senior Vice President and director of Ethyl Corporation.
