In 2007, Mr. Starr co-founded Third Rock Ventures, a venture capital firm where he remains a partner. From 2003 to 2007, Mr. Starr undertook a number of entrepreneurial endeavors in the life science and entertainment industries. From 2001 to 2002, Mr. Starr served as Chief Operating Officer of Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc., or Millenium. He also served as Millennium’s chief financial officer from 1998 to 2002. In the past five years, Mr. Starr has served on the board of directors of Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Zafgen, Inc., MyoKardia, Inc., Agios Pharmaceuticals Inc., Global Blood Therapeutics, Inc., PanOptica, Inc. and Decibel Therapeutics, Inc.
