Thomas Albanese is Chief Executive Officer, Whole-Time Director of the company effective April 1, 2014. He brings a wealth of mining experience of around 40 years. He was appointed as Co-Chair of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) National Committee on Mining in 2016 and continues to Co-Chair the committee for the year 2017–18. He was conferred with the ‘Mining Foundation of the Southwest’ 2009 American Mining Hall of Fame Award, for his dedication, knowledge, leadership and inspiration to his peers in the mining industry. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mineral Economics and a Master's in Mining Engineering from the University of Alaska.
