Jorge Desormeaux Jimenez serves as Independent Director of Concha y Toro Winery Inc. since April 26, 2011. He also acts as Member of Directors committee of the company. He has been Professor at the Economics Institute of the UC since 1979 in the areas of macroeconomics and the international economy. He has also been Professor of the Master of Business Administration program of the same university since 1999. At the same time, he has carried on activities as Consultant to banks, companies and international organisms since 1985. He was Counselor and Vice President of Banco Central de Chile between 1999 and 2009. In 2005, he became Member of the Superior Directive Council of U. Diego Portales, which position he still holds. He became Independent Director of AntarChile S.A. in May 2010 and joined Banco de Chile as Economic Adviser. He is also External Consultant to various Chilean companies and JP Morgan Chile. He was named President of the Financial Supervision and Regulation Reform Commission in August 2010. He obtained a Fulbright Scholarship for his doctorate studies in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1974. He holds degree in Commercial Engineering from Universidad Catolica de Chile.
