Robert S. Silberman serves as Independent Director of Twenty-First Century Fox, Inc. Mr. Silberman has been a Director of the Company since 2013 and serves as a member of the Compensation Committee and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. Mr. Silberman has served as a Director of Strayer since 2001 and as its Executive Chairman since 2013. He previously served as Strayer’s Chief Executive Officer from 2001 to 2013 and as its Chairman of the Board from 2003 to 2013. Prior to his work at Strayer, he served in a variety of senior management positions at CalEnergy Company, Inc., including as President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Silberman also held senior positions in the U.S. Department of Defense, including as Assistant Secretary of the Army. Since 2014, he has served as a Managing Director of the Equity Group Investments division of Chai Trust Company, LLC. Mr. Silberman has served as a Director of Covanta Holding Corporation since 2004 and a Director of Par Pacific Holdings since 2014. Through his career in the public and private sector and as the former Chief Executive Officer of a public company, Mr. Silberman has extensive experience in general and financial management and leadership of large scale organizations. He offers the Board valuable insight on public policy, government affairs and strategic development.
