Thomas M. Rutledge is Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer of the Company. He previously also served as President of the Company from February 2012 to July 2016 and as a director since February 2012. Prior to joining Charter, Mr. Rutledge served as Chief Operating Officer of Cablevision from April 2004 until December 2011. A 39-year cable industry veteran, Mr. Rutledge previously served as president of Time Warner Cable. Mr. Rutledge currently serves on the board of the National Cable and Telecommunications Association (“NCTA”). He is currently serving as Chairman of the NCTA, and currently serves on the boards of CableLabs and C-SPAN. In 2011, he received NCTA’s Vanguard Award for Distinguished Leadership, the cable industry’s highest honor. He is a member of the Cable Hall of Fame and was inducted into the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame in 2011. He received a B.A. in economics from California University in California, Pennsylvania in 1977.

As of December 31, 2017, the company served approximately 27.2 million residential and business customers. Charter Communications, Inc. was founded in 1999 and is based in Stamford, Connecticut.
